PaedsCalc executes entirely in the local browser runtime. All entered weights, ages, selected medications, and calculated volumes are computed on your device and are never transmitted to any external web server, cloud database, or third-party analytics provider.
1. Personal & Patient Health Information
PaedsCalc does not require, collect, transmit, or store identifiable Patient Health Information (PHI). When clinicians input patient weight or age into the calculator, that data exists purely within the browser's active volatile memory (RAM) and is discarded upon closing or resetting the session.
2. Local Storage (`localStorage`) Usage
PaedsCalc utilizes your browser's local storage solely for user experience preferences:
- Theme Preference: Remembering whether you prefer Medical Daylight or Night Shift mode.
- Favorite Prescriptions: Storing bookmarked medications for quick point-of-care 1-tap access.
- PRO License Activation Key: Storing your cryptographic activation string locally on your device to unlock PRO features offline.
This data never leaves your browser and can be completely cleared at any time by clearing your browser cache and site data.
3. Service Worker & Offline Caching
PaedsCalc registers a standard Progressive Web App (PWA) Service Worker (sw.js). The service worker caches static assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, icons, and medical reference files) directly onto your device so the application remains fully functional during rural clinic postings, hospital elevators, or internet outages.
4. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising
PaedsCalc contains zero third-party tracking pixels, advertising networks, or data-broker trackers (e.g. No Facebook Pixel, Google AdSense, or behavioral trackers). Typography fonts (Google Sans Flex) are loaded from Google Fonts servers during online sessions and cached locally by the browser.
5. Payment & Transaction Information
Purchases for PaedsCalc PRO occur directly via standard Malaysian DuitNow QR or manual bank account transfer to Maybank. PaedsCalc does not collect credit card numbers, banking passwords, or personal financial details. Clinicians voluntarily communicate with the developer via WhatsApp to submit transfer receipts and receive their offline activation key.
