1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, loading, installing, or utilizing PaedsCalc (accessible via https://paedscalc.my/), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the application.

2. Intended Audience & Learned Intermediary Doctrine

PaedsCalc is intended exclusively as a point-of-care mathematical reference for licensed medical practitioners, pharmacists, registered nurses, and qualified healthcare professionals. Under the learned intermediary doctrine, the attending healthcare provider maintains sole, non-delegable clinical and legal responsibility for patient diagnosis, drug selection, dose verification, and administration.

PaedsCalc does not establish a doctor-patient relationship, does not generate individualized medical diagnoses, and does not provide autonomous clinical orders.

3. Calculation Verification & Protocol Drift

Every healthcare professional utilizing PaedsCalc is required to independently review and verify all calculation steps, volume conversions, and infusion rates displayed on the software prior to administering or prescribing medications.

Clinical algorithms reflect published Malaysian Ministry of Health and international guidelines at the time of publication. Users must cross-reference institutional protocols and updated national circulars to ensure ongoing clinical alignment.

4. PaedsCalc PRO Licensing (One-Time Payment)

PaedsCalc PRO is provided under a personal, single-practitioner lifetime license for a one-time fee of RM 49:

5. Intellectual Property & API Commercialization

The PaedsCalc brand, visual design, custom UI components, source algorithms, and curated clinical presentation frameworks are the proprietary intellectual property of Dr. Esphynol Safrin. Users may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, resell, or publicly republish the application codebase without prior written consent.

Integration of PaedsCalc calculation engines into third-party Clinic Management Systems (CMS), electronic medical records (EMR), or hospital information systems requires a separate commercial API licensing agreement.

6. Availability, Disclaimers & Indemnification

PaedsCalc is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without express or implied warranties. By using the service, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or legal expenses arising out of clinical prescribing actions or reliance on calculation outputs.
